Dear Bulldog Fan,

Thank you for purchasing tickets to the upcoming Bowie State University Football game at Bulldog Stadium! We look forward to seeing you in the stands supporting our Bulldogs. To ensure a smooth and safe game day experience, please review the important information below:

🎒 Clear Bag Policy & Prohibited Items

Bowie State University has implemented a Clear Bag Policy at all football games. Fans may only bring the following:

Clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags not exceeding 12" x 6" x 12"

One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc or similar)

Small clutch bags, measuring 4.5" x 6.5", with or without a handle or strap

Prohibited Bags Include (but are not limited to): purses, backpacks, drawstring bags (non-clear), briefcases, coolers, fanny packs, luggage, computer bags, camera bags, binocular cases, and diaper bags. Unauthorized items should be returned to your vehicle—BSU cannot safeguard prohibited items.

🔒 Security Screening

All guests will be required to pass through weapon detectors prior to entry at Bulldog Stadium. Please allow extra time for this security measure.

We've reached maximum capacity for Bowie State University's Homecoming on November 1, 2025. If you purchased a football ticket or registered for campus access, you can still purchase on-campus parking. If you've registered for campus access and would like to attend the Homecoming game, you can purchase tickets at the ticket booth located in front of the Leonidas S. James Physical Education Complex on Homecoming day.

Fans attending the game who are included on a complimentary pass list must verbally state the name of the individual who left them a ticket and present a valid photo identification card to a staff member at the ticket booth located in front of the Leonidas S. James Physical Education Complex. After the ID is confirmed, a signature is required, and they will receive a wristband for game entry.

To ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment, please be aware that all attendees will go through a security check, including a weapon/metal detector screening, at the entrance. We recommend arriving early to allow time for this process.

Tailgating is defined as the participation in a social gathering before an event in a designated area. This policy refers specifically to tailgating at home football games.  This policy is effective for the 2024 Bowie State University Football season. We want Bowie State Football to be enjoyable for our students, faculty, staff, alumni, fans and our visiting team fans. Our number one priority is your safety! For those reasons, tailgaters will be expected to meet the below stated requirements:
The Official Tailgating area for the 2024 season is designated as parking Lot J.
No gas power generators are allowed.
Propane/Gas grills are allowed. Propane tanks will be limited to no more than 5-10 gallons per vehicle.
Alcohol is NOT PERMITTED in the tailgating area.
All Bowie State University students are subject to University Social Regulations and Policies stated in the Student Handbook.
No glass containers — use cans, plastic cups or plastic bottles only.
No designated parking space may be used for grills, chairs, tents, tables or anything other than vehicle parking. Out of courtesy to others, only portable radio/stereo units will be allowed.
For safety reasons, stereo units requiring an external power source are not allowed. Volume and the language in music must be appropriate for all ages.
No pets are allowed in the tailgating area during tailgating hours.
Tailgating may begin two (2) hours prior to kick-off. No overnight Tailgating!. Tailgate activities will cease 1 hour after the conclusion of the game. Security will ask those failing to comply to leave the premises.
Tailgaters must be respectful of those around them and mindful that students are subject to University Social Regulations and Policies stated in the Student Handbook. Everyone else is subject to rules and regulations of the State of Maryland, the local Police Department, Bowie State University and the Bowie State University Athletic Department.
Waste food items and trash, including charcoal, must be disposed of in the appropriate containers that are provided on our grounds.
Vending or selling of raffles WILL NOT be allowed in tailgating area.
Any violations of this policy may result in termination of tailgate privileges and criminal prosecution and/or action taken through the Bowie State University Department of Public Safety, the Dean of Students or the local Police Department.
